*Dance Instructor - Elementary to Middle School Students * *After School Program * *Role Overview* The Dance instructor will lead dance classes that cover a variety of styles, tailored to the interests and abilities of elementary to middle school students.
This role includes teaching dance techniques, choreography, and performance skills, while also fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages students' growth and creativity.
*Key Responsibilities* * *Technique Instruction*: Teach students fundamental dance techniques and movements across various dance styles.
* *Choreography Development*: Create and teach choreography that is both age-appropriate and challenging for students.
* *Performance Preparation*: Prepare students for performances, instilling confidence and stage presence.
* *Creative Encouragement*: Encourage students to explore their own creative expression through dance.
* *Classroom Management*: Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students.
*Qualifications* * *Professional Dance Experience*: Strong background in dance, with expertise in one or more dance styles.
* *Teaching Skills*: Experience in teaching dance to children, with the ability to engage and inspire young students.
* *Educational Background*: A degree in Dance, Education, or a related field is preferred.
* *Interpersonal Skills*: Excellent communication and motivational skills, with a passion for working with children.
* *Organizational Abilities*: Competency in organizing class schedules, planning performances, and managing classroom dynamics.
